We ♥ You” to the Facebook page of Pushpin Mehina, a small preparatory school for graphic design students. In no time, others were copying the meme and the Facebook page garnered a thousand “likes.”
No sooner had the Israelis started posting their own versions on the Facebook and the “Israel Loves Iran”
their response. By Sunday, they were uploading photos with the logo, ” We ♥ You, Israeli People. The Iranian People do not like any war with any country.” While some posted personal photographs, others utilized historical examples of benevolence by Persians and Iranians toward Jews. One was of a photo of the Mausoleum of Esther and Mordecai in Hamadan, Iran. Another was of Abdol-Hossein Sardari, the “Iranian Schindler” who helped 2,000 Iranian Jews flee France during the Holocaust. Yet another had the seal of Cyrus the Great, the ruler of the Persian Empire from 600-530 BCE, with the tolerant proclamation: “I announce that everyone is free to choose a religion. People are free to live in all regions and take up a job provided that they never violate others’ rights.”
Edry told Haaretz that private messages from Iranians started streaming in, as well. One wrote him, “We also love you. Your words are reaching us despite the censorship. The Iranian people, apart from the regime, do not hold a grudge nor animosity against anyone, especially not the Israelis…. We never saw Israelis as our enemies. I, along with many US and Israeli military and security experts, and probably a majority of Americans and Israelis, believe that attacking Iran would convert a potential catastrophe into a definite one, with today’s worldwide fragile economy turning into a severe recession or depression, as oil prices surge, with Israel being bombarded with missiles, with a sharp increase in terrorism, anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism, with the potential of a widespread war, costing much money and many lives, and with Iran’s nuclear potential set back possibly by only a few years and with Iran more determined than ever to gain a nuclear weapon.
Iran must recognize that their use of a nuclear weapon would be suicidal, with Iran devastated for many years. Also, Iran should be convinced they could gain economically and in other ways by cooperation rather than confrontation. Instead of wasting lives and money by an attack on Iran, there should be a global Marshall-type plan, led by the US, Israel, and other developed nations, to help sharply reduce poverty, hunger, illiteracy, illness, pollution, and other societal ills.
Tim, you are so right. The one solution is to love the people of Israel, Iran and Palestine while insisting that the governments must be willing to live in peace and recognize the rights of the other counties to exist. Rabbi Lerner postulates this in his book, “Embracing Israel/Palestine”. The United States must stop stop supporting aggression.

Ardy Vah Thank you dear Vicky, for appreciation. Maybe you are right, our thoughts are making our destiny, our wishes generates LOVE or HATE, our feelings tells us what is good or bad,….as Roony realised 20 years ago in our meeting that only and only reason makes people to be friends or not to be, is LACK OF EDUCATION and miss-information which is transferred from generation to generations. As you know KIDS there are very good friends, till the father or mother forbids friendship and companion. KIDS there are so good to each other because they don’t have prejudices. SO EDUCATION TRANSFORMS, the “Human Animal” to “HUMAN BEING” as spiritual being. So I am very happy that I found back Roony and he has to know that I LOVE HIS FAMILY as my FAMILY, and He is going to be my FIRST JEWISH BROTHER in ISRAEL. As I said before I am the happiest man in the world, who generated such a feeling for Roony to be the PIONEER OF LOVE AND BROTHERHOOD between these two nations.
